Points and the quality rulebook
Teaching quality follows OTO's 2024 instructor rulebook. Points are entered by an administrator or by quality staff, each with a reason. An entry is never edited, and it can be reversed once.
The month
Points are counted per payroll month (a Cairo calendar month) and start again from zero at the beginning of each month. Your dashboard shows your points this month.
Deductions
By your points in the month:
- 0 to 10: no deduction;
- 11 to 20: 5%;
- 21 to 30: 10%;
- 31 or more: 20%, plus a warning letter and an action plan from HR. You can reply in writing to HR before the action plan is final.
Bonus
- 5% with fewer than 5 points in the month.
- 10% with fewer than 5 points across this month and the previous one.
- Bonuses apply only if you taught more than 52 classes in the month.
Common entries
- Session report late: 1
- Course file missing: 2
- Late reply to OTO (more than 12 hours, on WhatsApp or work email): 3
- Lateness of 11 to 15 minutes: 3
- First-session or last-session procedure late: 5 each
- Missing recording you caused: 5

Other findings can be entered as "other", from 1 to 50 points. If you're salaried, the bonus and deduction apply as far as your contract provides.
