For teachers

Session reports and AI drafts

After each class you taught, write a session report within 24 hours of the scheduled end. Open it with Write the report on your dashboard: otocourses.app/en/app/teach

What goes in it

  • What you covered (required).
  • Notes for the student.
  • Homework.

The student sees the report as soon as you save it. A late report is still kept, and the rulebook preset for it is 1 point.

Drafting with AI

Where the feature is on, Draft with AI fills the report from your private class notes, the class chat and, when the class was transcribed, the transcript.

  • The draft is yours to check and edit. Nothing reaches the student until you save the report, and the report you save is your report.
  • You get at most 30 AI drafts a day; after that, write the report yourself.
  • No draft is made for a student who has asked for no AI drafts. You'll see a message, and you write that report yourself.
  • If there's too little from the class to draft from, add your notes about the class and try again.

Children's classes

Classes in Kids and Young Learners courses are never transcribed until a parent or guardian has given consent, so a draft for them uses only your notes and the class chat.

Course files

For each student and course you keep a course file. The plan and homework are shown to the student; the notes in it are seen only by instructors and OTO staff. You can open only the files of students you have a class with. A missing course file is 2 points.

Your private class notes

The notes you take in the classroom are never shown to the student. They're kept for 90 days with the recording, then deleted.
