Class recordings and chat

Every class is recorded automatically, audio and video, from when the first person joins.

Watching recordings

• Watch your classes' recordings under Recordings on your dashboard: otocourses.app/en/app/teach. Each shows the date it's kept until.
• You can watch them but not download them. The student of a class can watch and download its recording for personal use. Authorised OTO staff can watch them too.

How long they're kept

The recording, the class chat and your private classroom notes are kept for 90 days after the class, then deleted.

Missing recordings

OTO lists classes that have no recording 24 hours after they end. If a recording shows as failed, ask operations. Where OTO finds that you caused a missing recording, the finding is 5 points. A missing recording doesn't by itself reduce your pay for the class.

Observers and transcripts

• Authorised quality and administration staff can join any class as hidden observers.
• Class audio may be transcribed under the Class Transcripts and AI Addendum. Children's classes (Kids and Young Learners) are never transcribed until a parent or guardian has given consent.
• Where transcripts are in use, you can object to transcription on your account page, from your next class.
