Teacher ratings and reviews

Every teacher's page on otocourses.app shows what learners said about them: a star rating and their written reviews. Open a teacher from Teachers in the menu.

The rating

The rating under a teacher's name is the average of all the visible reviews learners have left them, to one decimal, with how many reviews it comes from. It is computed from the reviews themselves, so it changes as new reviews arrive. A teacher with no reviews yet shows no rating.

The reviews

Under What learners say you see the newest reviews with a written comment: the learner's first name, the stars, the comment and the month. A review from before the move to otocourses.app is marked on otocourses.com; those reviews moved with the teacher, exactly as they were written.

Only a learner who took a class with the teacher can review it. A review shows a first name only, never an email, a phone number or a photo.

What you can do

• If a review about you breaks our rules (abuse, personal details, spam), tell us from Help and we will look at it. Removed reviews are kept privately for our records.
• Teachers do not reply to reviews publicly. A teacher sees their own reviews and, privately, what they noted about each class.

Writing a review after a class is coming to the app; until then, reviews come with the teachers from otocourses.com.
