The whiteboard and reactions in your class

Your classroom has a shared whiteboard and a reactions button, so you can show your teacher what you mean without stopping the conversation.

The whiteboard

• Press Whiteboard at the bottom of the classroom to open it. You and your teacher both draw on the same board, and you each see the other's drawing as it happens.
• Choose the Pen, the Highlighter or Text (click where you want the words, type, then press Enter). Pick a pen color and a brush size.
• Clear wipes the board for both of you. Save as image downloads the board as a picture.
• If your teacher draws while the board is closed, a small dot appears on the Whiteboard button.
• If you join late or reload the page, the board comes back as it was.

You can draw while the class is open. After the class the board can no longer be changed. It is kept with the class chat and deleted 90 days after the class.

Reactions and signals

Press the smiley button at the top of the video to open the tray:

• send a reaction (👍 ❤️ 👏 🎉 😄), which floats up over the video for a moment;
• ask your teacher to go Slower please, Please repeat, or tell them Got it;
• Raise hand to ask a question; press Lower hand when you're done (it also lowers by itself after 30 seconds).

Reactions are not saved anywhere. If you send many in a few seconds, some are skipped.
