Using the whiteboard and reactions in class
The classroom has a shared whiteboard and reactions for you and your student.
The whiteboard
- Press Whiteboard at the bottom of the classroom. You and your student both draw on it, live: pen, highlighter and text, five pen colors and three sizes.
- Clear wipes it for both of you; your student can clear it too. Save as image downloads the board, for example to add to your session report or homework.
- A dot on the Whiteboard button means your student drew while you had it closed.
- The board is saved as you go, so a late joiner or a reload sees it. After the class it is read-only, and it is deleted with the class chat 90 days after the class. Staff who observe a class see the board but cannot draw.
Reactions and signals
The smiley button at the top of the video opens reactions (👍 ❤️ 👏 🎉 😄) and signals. When your student asks for Slower please or Please repeat, or says Got it, a short note shows over the video. Raise hand shows a chip with their name until they lower it (or 30 seconds pass). You can send the same reactions and signals.
Reactions are never saved.
