Your profile picture and profile
Your picture shows on your profile and on the round button in the menu at the top of the page. You can change it at any time.
Change your picture
Open Account settings (otocourses.app/en/app/account). Profile picture is the first section:
- Upload a photo (or Change photo): JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB. Your phone or browser makes it smaller first, and we remove location and camera details from the file before it is saved.
- Remove photo deletes it. Your avatar, or the first letter of your name, shows instead.
- Choose an avatar: pick one of the eight pictures, or Show my initial. While you have a photo, the photo is shown; the avatar is used when you don't have one.
Each change saves at once. You can also change your picture on My profile.
Your profile
On My profile (otocourses.app/en/app/profile) you see your profile the way others see it: your picture, name and one-line intro, then cards for about you, your interests, education, work and the languages you speak. Only you see your level and who can see your profile. Press Edit profile to change what it says, and Change to choose who sees it: Only me, My teachers or the OTO community. It is private until you choose otherwise.
Your email, phone, date of birth and gender are never shown on your profile.
Learners under 18
A parent manages a child's picture and profile while acting for the child. A profile of a learner under 18 is seen only by the learner, their parent and, if they choose My teachers, their own teachers. OTO staff never see it.
Teachers
Your teacher photo is set on My teacher profile (otocourses.app/en/app/teach/profile), and HR approves it before learners see it. Account settings links to it.
