Checking an OTO certificate
Every OTO English Benchmark certificate carries a certificate ID and a QR code. Anyone, an employer for example, can check it.
How to check
- Scan the QR code on the certificate, or go to the Verify a certificate page: otocourses.app/en/verify
- Enter the certificate ID printed at the foot of the certificate, for example OTO-ABC123-1A2B3C4.
What the result means
- Valid certificate: OTO issued it, and it's the current one for this person. Every detail shown should match the certificate in front of you.
- Superseded certificate: it has been replaced by a newer one. Ask the holder for the current one.
- Not a valid certificate: OTO has no certificate with this ID. Check the ID again; if it matches, OTO did not issue it.
Privacy
To protect the holder, the page shows only the name, the level, the dates, the certificate ID, who issued it and the certificate's own background pattern. It doesn't show their employer or their result in each skill.
