Courses and levels

Your level certificates

Finish a level and you get a certificate to show for it. Then you carry on to the next step, all the way to C2.

How levels are measured

OTO measures English with its own test, the OTO English Benchmark. It covers grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening, writing and speaking, and reports results on OTO's sub-levels, based on the CEFR. The same scale is used across OTO: in the placement test before you buy, and at the end of each level.

Checking a certificate

OTO certificates that carry a certificate ID can be checked by anyone, for example an employer, on the Verify a certificate page: otocourses.app/en/verify

Enter the certificate ID printed at the foot of the certificate. The page shows only what is printed on it: the name, the level, the dates, the certificate ID and who issued it.
