Transferring hours to someone else

You can ask us to move hours from your package to another person's OTO Courses account, for example a family member. They need their own learner account first.

What can be transferred

• Only hours that are not booked for a class. Cancel or use your booked classes first if you want to move those hours too.
• Whole hours, as many as you have unbooked.
• The hours keep your package's expiry date. They do not get a new validity period.
• Hours from a package paid in test mode cannot be transferred.

How to ask

1. Open My packages. 2. On the package, open Transfer hours. 3. Enter the email of the account that should receive the hours and how many hours. 4. Tick the box to confirm that the hours leave your package, then select Send my request.

You can withdraw the request while we review it.

What happens next

Our team checks the request, and a second team member approves it. We may refuse a request. When the hours move, we tell you both by email. The other person finds them as a new package on their My packages, ready to book. Hours that were transferred cannot come back to your package.

A refund applies only to paid hours still in your own package; transferred hours are no longer in it.
